I suffer from random nosebleeds and used this last opportunity to paint something in my blood. And what did I paint?

Forgive the camera phone shot. This blood painting was completed yesterday. I took a clean brush and used water to make pools on the paper. When the pools were in place, barely visible, I injected them with fresh blood straight from the brush. Then I let them dry into this gas mask looking stencil.  (11x14. Ryan Maloney)

In 2010 I changed my full name to Alexis Komarov Voltaire. I replaced my first name with my middle and gave myself a new middle and last name.

This quote was said by Voltaire and it fully encompasses one of the main reasons I decided to change my name. Family is just betrayal with justifications.
